Eat Fit While Watching Sports

Cricket mania has adorned even the non-sports freak, this season. Health experts do not want to be labelled spoilt sports but warn against long sitting hours in front of TV and just munching. The high calorie snacks that add 'zing' to your excitement can actually be adding pounds and bad trans-fat to your body.

So, here are a few healthy but fun tips for you while watching your favourite game:

  1. Prefer lemonade, coconut water, low fat milk shakes or buttermilk instead of fruit juices and soft drinks
  2. Have fresh cut melons as appetizers
  3. Enjoy nuts or air-popped popcorn instead of chips

Avoid late night meals and go light with just soups and salads or low fat food.

Consider, doing some light moving around, exercise, breathing exercises while watching TV rather than just being a couch potato.
