Walk for Life - Sit for 60, Walk for 3

Our lives are ruled by TV, computer, cars and ofcourse work which again is ‘Sedentary’.

Well, we can’t go farming for a livelihood or ride a cycle from Delhi to Gurgaon in pursuit of happiness aka health.

Striving to get fit and be active is becoming a challenge. Time crunch, space limitation, lack of resources and preoccupation with other stuff…well, the excuses are infinite for not getting some exercise.

Healthy WalkingWe at DesiDieter are promoting "Walk for Life" all through this month. Experts recommend that you take at least 10,000 steps a day to be in best of health. Now, this seems like a colossal target to achieve especially if you have about 8-9 hours of sitting job. To make this mammoth task seem diminutive, let us help you out -

Keep it Simple: Sit For 60, Walk For 3! That’s right, if you sit for 60 minutes doing whatever you need to do, remember to take a break for 3 minutes. Get up and walk. You can walk around the office/home. Have a glass of water, walk in the drive way, walk while you talk. Do anything but sit or eat in those three minutes. So if you have taken 3 minutes of ‘walk break’ every hour. And, let us suppose that you are awake and active 12 hours a day. Well, you are actually giving yourself 30+ minutes if exercise in a day.

So, memories this motto - Sit For 60, Walk For 3.

Share with your friends, relatives, colleagues and start a movement - Walk more, Move more!

You are cool man! Thanks for the info! I’ve been doing cardio just before breaking fast, you think that is ok? I did have to eat more because my body started to protest and I didn’t lose weight for about a week until I upped my calories. I am basically following the diet plan you have already except I add carbs and dairy. I eat 2 eggs, 2 peices of toast w/ cheese and grapes in the morning and protein, carbs and veggies at night. Thanks again man!
