And the winner is… YOGA!!

We have to say we were definitely a bit surprised to see yoga winning over aerobics and cardio and weights.

Here are a few resources related to yoga from the DesiDieter Archives:

Research says that facial exercises and body exercises help to tones muscles and stimulate circulation, which can produce, over time, such pleasing visible effects like reduced sagging with smoother and glowing skin. Different yoga asanas, mudras, breathing techniques and meditation tells us the way to accomplish the target of glowing skin.

Yoga reduces stress hormones, which in turn lowers cholesterol. To bring down the ill effects of stress and its byproducts, a daily regime of yoga practices for at least 20 – 30 minutes daily can greatly bring about a feeling of good health and a significant lowering of bad cholesterol.

Asanas make the body strong and healthy, regulate breathing, ensure proper digestion of food, increase longevity, calm the mind and body and strengthen will power. Bhujang means snake or cobra. Bhujangasana therefore means the cobra pose.

Take a full glass of warm water mixed with a tablespoon of honey and the juice of half a lemon. Make this as a daily habit. Eat more fruits, vegetables and low calorie meals. Bitter vegetables help weight loss. Use as little salt as possible, or eliminate it altogether.
Avoid milk products like cheese and butter. Have some cabbage regularly. Cabbage stops the conversion of sugar and carbohydrates to fat. Yoga is part of the Ayurvedic lifestyle, it gives good and fit body with peace of mind. One of the most widespread Ayurvedic weight reduction herbs is the gymnema which can be identified by Indians as the destroyer of sugar. It has gained its nickname because of the notoriety in relation to breaking down the sugar that we eat every single day.
