Healthy Pizza Sandwich

Are you “on a diet” and hence avoiding regular pizzas like the plague and are left craving for it? Here’s a perfectly healthy Pizza Sandwich that you can sink your teeth into without feeling guilty:

Ingredients: (Serves 2)
Double fibre/100 % whole wheat bread: 4 slices
Pasta/Pizza sauce: 2tbsp
Mixed veg: capsicum/bell pepper; mushrooms, onions (as required)
Tofu/non-fat cheese spread: 1tbsp
Oil: 1tsp olive oil

Method:
·         Sauté the mixed veggies in olive oil in a non-stick pan.
·         Spread the pasta/pizza sauce and tofu/cheese spread on the bread slices.
·         Add the sautéed veggies and cover with the other slice of bread.
·         Grill it in a sandwich/panini maker or tava till slightly toasted.
Have this for lunch/dinner along with some clear soup, salad (no dressing), a fresh fruit as dessert and you can make it a part of a healthy balanced meal.

Good effort!!! But can we use anything else instead of cheese or Tofu???

Sweta Uchil says :

Hi Rupali,
You could try mixing some spices in a little hung curds/Greek yogurt or even hummus instead of the cheese/tofu.

I was wondering if pteorin shakes are allowed? I know tha milk is not however, muscle milk makes a low carb/sugar whey pteorin that can be mixed with water. I want to guess that yes it's allowed but I want to be super strict and not mess anything up. Thanks!

I had the same problem at your age. I know that it sucks! You need to try free weights. They are great. You will define your muscle, gain more muscle. Muscle burns more calories. The weight just falls off and you will have a great body. You can go to almost any site “iVilliage” is a very good one. You can also buy free weight with very little money.(a little less than a $1 a lb) You will need small weights two of each. A good start is 2lbs 3lbs and 5lbs. If you just can’t get your hands on any money to go and get these you can always use canned veggies out of the cabinet to get you started. You know the ones that are 12-16 oz and the bigger ones that have like peaches. hope that it helps
