Work Place Wellness: Getting over Stress
Quarrels, Driving, Deadlines, Competitions.... Words like these have become common aspects of our everyday life. Running through life you tend to forget the stress that takes place in your everyday life acts like a slow poison affecting your physical and personal health.
Here are few suggestions to fight stress and keep your energy levels high:
- Exercise or take a walk in a park near you. Feel the nature’s beauty and you will automatically start enjoying yourself.
- Chill out, relax and have fun. At times just watching some TV or reading a book can be of real help.
- Take a break every now then when at work. Desk jobs which require you to sit for hours in front of a computer screen can be really tiring. Just get up from your seat take a walk around the office, talk to your colleagues and even stretch your body for a minute or two.
- A good hobby like listening to music or reading a good book can work wonders in taking a break from stress.
- Talk to a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, eat a really delicious home cooked meal or sit back and relax, just remain calm and enjoy the silence.
- Yoga and laughter might just prove to be your deadliest weapon against stress. An hour of yoga will make you feel full of energy and laughing every now and then will keep words like anger, depression and stress out of your life.
- Be patient and just learn to let things go at times. Expecting too much out of yourself and multi tasking can often be a big reason for stress. Since it is almost impossible to avoid multi tasking, you need to at times just realize that after all you are a human
- Law of attraction works. Forget stress and concentrate on being happy and not fighting stress. This way you will constantly be thinking and focusing your energy on being happy and stress will automatically take a back seat.
- Get a pet. A pet will make you feel loved and wanted. Studies have proved playing with a pet and taking care of it can help you de-stress.
- Meditate to get out of stress
Always remember stress is not always bad, at times some level of stress can be good for you to keep you motivated, keep you going and get the best out of you.
