  • Early detection of the cancerous cell is very important in breast cancer prevention.
  • Mammogram is produced during this procedure which helps in giving an insight about the presence of cancerous cells.
  • It is used to diagnose lumps or bumps which are felt by patient self examination.
  • Is performed every two years from the age of 50.

Steps to prevent breast cancer -

Not many people are aware that men also get 'breast cancer'. Especially in India, people associate this type of cancer only with women.
Tom Cruise is supposed to be a prime example of male breast cancer survivor!!!!

@Bhaskar- Tom Cruise survived Breast Cancer!!!

I got to know that ten percent of all breast cancer cases are hereditary. Two breast cancer genes are mainly involved in these ten percent of cases. The remaining 90 percent of cases can be attributed to a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

The sons of mothers with breast cancer gene number one, are at increased risk for prostate cancer, and the sons of moms with breast cancer gene number two, are at increased risk for breast cancer (the type of cancer with which Tom Cruise was diagnosed).
